One half-marathon not enough for Napthali
Napthali Meltzer ran seven half-marathons in just 13 days to raise more than $5600 for Cancer Council Victoria.
"The support I received from my family and friends was awesome - they helped me smash my fundraising target," he said.
It was a big and difficult challenge but I was inspired on the journey by the many warm and encouraging messages I received from so many of you along the way.
I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life. No one should have to suffer due to cancer, but, unfortunately many do."
Napthali raised enough money to get a research award which he has chosen to go towards researching bone cancer.
Thank you to everyone for your support and giving me the opportunity to undertake this wonderful project. I could not have done any of this without you and I feel honoured to have and the opportunity to make this contribution with your help.
I would also like to thank the Cancer Council for nominating me for the Pride of Australia award. It has been a great honour to have served Australia in this small way."
